How it started...
Today I wanted to share a little background story and how I created Alexis Gorham Art.
Everything started back in 2017, I was a stay at home mom to 2 young kids. My youngest daughter was about 1 year old at the time and I was looking to take some time to do something just for myself.
I stumbled across a watercolor video online and immediately knew I wanted to start learning to paint. I ordered some supplies, signed up for online classes and got to work playing and learning the in’s and out’s of watercolor.
It became my nightly ritual. I would put my girls to sleep and then spend the rest of the evening painting with watercolors. I had a special spot set up on the dining room table where I kept all my supplies.
Fast forward a couple years and I started creating paintings that I thought others would enjoy. I did some research and started to look at products that would look good with my art printed on them. That’s when I discovered that stationery and watercolor art are a match made in heaven.
In October of 2019 I opened up my Etsy shop and got my first sale from a stranger! There was no better feeling than having a complete stranger validate my work. So I continued to grow my product line on Etsy while I was growing as an artist.
In 2021, I made the big leap to create my own website and it has been such a fun, magical adventure. I love owning my own business and I love creating art that brings joy to others. But most of all I love that I get to be a role model for my daughters. I get to show them that you can dream big and those dreams can come true.
Last but not least, thank you for all your support and encouragement along the way! ❤️
You are doing great! Every time I look at your art it makes me smile ✨☺️
Cheers!

I love that when I use your products it makes me look better! haha
Your designs are very joyful, I love them. It’s really awesome that you’ve gone wholesale too so retailers can carry your pretty prints!
I love your art Alexis and it’s always such a joy when I get to personally work with you on a project.
